Located in the North West of Sydney, the Pennant Hills Demons Junior Football Club continues to build on its short but proud history. At just over 45 years old, Pennant Hills already can boast at having four current players on the lists of AFL clubs.
Lenny Hayes, Ray Hall, Mark and Jarrad McVeigh, and Kieren Jack are all products of our successful junior club. We attract a lot of families locally and from interstate areas providing us with a broad spectrum of talent. The club continues to move in a positive direction as the kids are given the opportunity to improve on their skills in fantastic conditions. We pride ourselves on the quality of coaching and being only a small club means that each player is important. AFL is a game that is not dominated by one or two players and we do not grade players as our focus is on fun and participation rather than winning. You will find if you join Pennant Hills Demons that we are a family club with several social events during the year.
AFL in Sydney is a sport that is played under strict code of conduct with no bad behaviour from either players or spectators. At the younger level players play a modified game where tackling is minimised ensuring a safe game for all no matter what your skill level. AFL is a winter sport with our season running from April until September. Games are played on a Sunday mornings in and around local suburbs from Blacktown to Hornsby. Training is on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at Ern Holmes oval starting at 6pm with each of our coaches experienced in AFL. So why not try AFL – once kids try it they love it !!
